Following the completion of her law degree at the end of 2021, Kate joined the Godfreys team as a graduate solicitor. Working as a Law Clerk until she gains admission in June of this year, Kate is a part of our conveyancing team and is currently learning the processes and different stages of helping our clients sell and buy homes.
Originally from Wellington, Kate came down to the South Island to study at the University of Canterbury. Having completed a double degree in Law and Criminal Justice, Kate fell in love with Christchurch over the last five years and plans to stay and build a future here.
Kate aims to be an approachable, supportive navigator for clients who are going through the process of buying or selling their homes. Kate values the work-life balance and culture at Godfreys, finding everyone to be supportive and caring, especially as she is starting as a fresh graduate.
Outside of work, Kate loves to be around her friends and family. She enjoys her weekend G&T’s and exploring wider Canterbury; whether that be going on road trips in the weekends to try out different walking tracks. Kate also loves to keep active, by going to the gym and playing indoor netball with friends.
To celebrate New Zealand Music month, we're all sharing our favourite kiwi songs. Kate picked Don't Forget Your Roots by Six60 as hers, and the worst part is she wasn't even ashamed of it!
