Last week, the Canterbury Women’s Legal Association (CWLA) hosted its Professional Women’s Conference, proudly sponsored by Godfreys Law.

The theme, “Redefining Norms and Challenging Stereotypes,” set the stage for a day full of empowering messages and inspiring stories.

The event featured a lineup of exceptional speakers. Brooke Roberts shared her journey in founding Sharesies, Nadia Lim offered candid insights into the triumphs and challenges of achieving goals, and Tracy Minnoch, Renee Walker, and Pete Burdon delivered thought-provoking perspectives on breaking societal norms and confronting stereotypes.

Among these inspiring voices was our very own Sally Cunneen, who spoke on the topic of Imposter Syndrome. Sally shared her personal experience of navigating Imposter Syndrome while stepping into the role of Director at just 26 years old. Her practical tips and personal story resonated with the audience, sparking meaningful conversations throughout the evening.

Kate Montu and Brooke Cooper were delighted to attend the CWLA conference. Surrounded by strong leaders and powerful storytelling, they left feeling uplifted and inspired.

A special thank you to the CWLA committee for their efforts in organising such a fantastic event.

Real people. Real solutions.
