Thank you for considering our firm. We are a small, close-knit group of people who enjoy working with each other. As you can see from our website, we are a true general practice firm. We strive to meet all of our client’s legal needs.

If you are a new practitioner, working at Godfreys will give you the opportunity to try everything and discover your niche. You will also learn essential hands-on skills from the outset. The firm has an “open door” policy, which means you are able to easily ask senior firm members for advice and ideas in your daily work.

If you are a more experienced practitioner, working at Godfreys will give you many opportunities to develop your scope of practice, while at the same time freedom to pursue your areas of expertise. If you yearn for a work environment where new ideas are welcomed and your input into improving the practice is valued, Godfreys is the right place for you.

Client care and customer service are priorities at Godfreys. No matter what level of experience you bring to the firm, you will have contact with clients. We therefore expect our employees to be friendly, polite and respectful. Our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and you will meet and work with a lot of interesting and sometimes influential people.

Continuous learning is important. We have professional development meetings once a month (lunch provided by the firm), where developments in the law are discussed and suggested improvements to the firm’s day to day operations are presented. Attendance at CLE seminars is encouraged, and those who do attend report back to the firm at our meetings.

People are important at Godfreys. Our morning tea breaks are taken together, with food provided by staff on a rotating basis every Friday. We have regular staff meetings, as a group and on individual bases, where frank feedback and questions are encouraged. Our firm has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, while of course expecting a high level of performance. We have firm-sponsored monthly “end of month” drinks and bi-yearly functions (generally mid-winter and Christmas).
